Trainer Recordings

DaDesktop provides several methods for capturing desktop and course activity as recordings. These can be troubleshooting recordings, training room recordings, or trainer recordings. 

A trainer recording specifically captures the trainer's own DaDesktop machine. To begin recording the trainer's session, follow these steps:

 

1. Click the three vertical dots to open a small dropdown menu, then select 'Connect (with session recording)'.

2. 

   This creates an audio/video recording of the trainer's machine, but you can't view it until after you close the virtual classroom, when the recording is finalized. Note: If you're a SuperAdmin, you'll see an extra menu option to watch live recordings as they're happening.

3. To access and edit the recordings, click the 'cog' icon and then the Recordings menu.

You can view trainer recordings of the trainer's machine in two ways.

1. Recordings can be accessed from the Recordings menu, as described earlier. You can play or delete recordings as needed. The double spanner icon indicates 'Troubleshooting Recordings' - these are generated automatically, not for presentation, but for troubleshooting when required.

  2. Alternatively, go to the 'Recordings' tab in a course to view trainer recordings, training room recordings, and troubleshooting recordings.
