GPU support

DaDesktop offers two approaches to GPU support:

  1. Direct pass-through of a physical GPU — available in select datacentres. This uses a real graphics card, so you get full hardware acceleration.
  2. GPU simulation via LLVM Pipe. It runs flawlessly on all our Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. However, it’s currently unsupported on Windows 10.

If you’re unsure whether your application requires a GPU (Blender is a good example), you may encounter a notification like this:

"A graphics card and driver with support for OpenGL 3.3 or higher is required. Install the latest driver for your graphics card might resolve the issue"
