How to Enhance Your Connection Performance
Occasionally, DaDesktop may alert you if your connection seems to have too much 'latency' (delay) for reliable performance.
When this happens here in Spain, please try the steps below to improve your connection.

Steps to take
- Whenever possible, use an Ethernet connection. If using WiFi, run a speed test (e.g., at speedtest.net) beforehand to check your speed.
- Stay as close as you can to the wireless access point. Opt for 5 GHz WiFi over 2.4 GHz if you can, as the 2.4 GHz band often delivers slower speeds and is more prone to interference than 5 GHz.
- Disable or turn off any VPNs or proxies before joining the course.
- If possible, deactivate any security applications that could conflict with the network connection, since they sometimes affect connection speed and cause latency.
-
Participants are encouraged to reach out to their company’s IT support, particularly if network filtering or content controls are impacting performance.
Adding these domains to the allowlist may help:
1. https://\*.npg.io (for example, any host under .npg.io)
2. https://dd4t.dadesktop.com - Refrain from making large downloads or uploads during the course—for instance, pause Windows, Mac, or Linux updates until after the session if you can.
-
Your internet speed should be faster than: "10 Mbps download & 1 Mbps upload"
