Connecting Via RDP

For RDP connections, you have several client options at your disposal:

Remmina
KRDS
Freerdp2-x11

Among these, only freerdp2-x11 provides support for multiple monitors.

To establish an RDP connection with multiple monitors:

Setting up freerdp2-x11 in DaDesktop Private Node (ddpn)

sudo apt install freerdp2-x11

Establishing a connection to the Work Desktop

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666

Ending the session

CTRL+ALT+Enter

Windows Start Menu > Log Off -> Disconnect

Redirecting sound and microphone

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa

xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:10.0.3.4  /microphone:sys:alsa  /sound:sys:alsa /gfx +window-drag  -compression -sec-rdp -sec-tls -encryption /gdi:hw /video
